Certificate in Digital Applications for IT users (CIDA)
It is a practical ICT course, which gives pupils technical skills they need to use digital applications in the workplace or in further education or training.
It is made up of three units, which are equivalent to 3 GCSE’s
Promotes creative use of digital applications, such as use of multimedia, databases, spreadsheets, desktop publishing and web site creation.
The course applies a practical approach to develop a body of skills and knowledge to produce high quality outcomes.
It enables girls to demonstrate their knowledge and skills through purposeful applications.
Girls will be required to undertake primary and secondary research linked to a given project and to collate and present their findings in the form of an e-portfolio.
