Macmillan World's Biggest Coffee Morning
On Friday September 28th 2007 Culcheth Hall School took part in the Macmillan World's Biggest Coffee Morning.
In addition to the coffee morning, a cake sale was held to raise money for the Macmillan team at Alder Hey Hospital.
This has been chosen for this year's charity, which we will be supporting in memory of Amy Parker who died in August 2007, aged 12.
The event was well supported by pupils, staff and parents.
We had a huge response to our appeal for donations and on the morning the tables were overflowing with goodies from cakes to buns and biscuits.
We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who contributed in any way to this event and made it so successful.
The total raised so far is £1,224.00.
Thank you!
Celia Bentley.
Home Economics
Year 9 pupils have been working on a "multi-cultural" project - a cross curricular investigation between Home Economics and Religious Education.
They have researched the religions and cultures of a wide range of countries.
On the practical side, they have prepared a range of dishes incuding Minestrone Soup, Sweet and Sour dishes and Blackforest Trifle.
The highlight of the term's work was a "fun pizza" session.
See for yourself!

French
Language
Build up your stamina for climbing to the top of the Eiffel tour
by climbing to the top of Culcheth to the French classroom. You
certainly won't mistake it for the Maths room. There are 'beaucoup
de' French flags, displays of excellent work done by the girls,
and lots of useful French phrases such as 'May I go to the toilet?'
and 'I've forgotten my homework' Surely not!
