Culcheth Hall School are jetting off on their Ski Trip to the resort of Aprica in Italy on Saturday 27th March 2010. There are 24 pupils and 3 members of staff heading out to what they hope will be a week with plenty of snow and parallel turns!
Aprica is an attractive resort in the Province of Sondrio in Italy, on a pass between Lake Como and the Dolomites. At 1181m it has lift access to the pistes at almost every point, offering a wide variety of carefully prepared runs and an extensive nursery area.
The week in Italy will provide all pupils with 5 hours per day of first class ski instruction, followed by a varied programme of Aprés-Ski Entertainment in and around the resort. These will include floodlit bum boarding, swimming and the odd bit of tuneful karaoke!
There is an Information Evening for the Ski Trip for all parents and pupils going to Italy at Easter 2010, on:
Tuesday 1st December in the Prep Gym from 7.00-8.00pm.
At the meeting, both parents and pupils will have the chance to meet the staff accompanying their daughter to Italy, find out further details about the trip and ask any questions they may have.
Mrs Hughes will be heading out to Aprica in early January on an Inspection Visit to carry out a risk assessment for the resort and hotel. Following this visit, a final parents’ meeting will be held to discuss this visit and to finalise details for the trip in March.
If you have any questions or queries surrounding the Ski Trip, please do not hesitate to contact Mrs Hughes at school.
